- Reflexology
-
-
- Reflexology is a therapy that affects the whole body.
It has been used since ancient times and may have originated in China. The therapy
involves stimulating reflexes in the feet (or hands).
- Each part of the foot corresponds to a part of the
body, with the right foot representing the right side of the body.
-
- The whole foot is worked upon, so that the body is
treated as a whole. Areas which are tender indicate areas of imbalance in the body.
- By stimulating these reflexes, the body can be
brought back into balance. Most people find the therapy very relaxing and beneficial.
- Some find they sleep better and symptoms are
gradually resolved with a course of treatment. Some find they have a temporary
exaggeration of their symptoms, whilst the body rids itself of toxins.
-
- Reflexology is not used to cure specific ailments nor
is it a diagnostic tool.
- However, by bringing the body back into balance
gently it can affect physical, emotional and spiritual levels together.
