Clarinet Special Break
The weekend will explore some of Reynard Music’s 300 titles for clarinet choir, with special attention to works by the late Gordon Lewin – Calle de las Flores, Grand Old Duke of York and Grass Roots. There will be opportunities in informal sessions for sampling the repertoire for clarinet trios, quartets and quintets. BATH HALF MARATHON IN AID OF THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS TRUST!
The Recreation Ground, Spring Gardens, Bath BA2 4DS
One of the longest established road races in the UK, the Bath Half offers a flat route making it ideal for first-time half marathon runners as well as those looking for a PB and its reputation is quite something! Online entries are now open and filling fast so secure your place now, then please use it to run with Team CF and raise whatever you can for us. Alternatively we have Charity Places available in return for your pledge to raise at least £175 for us but, the more people who get their own place whilst entries remain open, the bigger Team CF can be in 2012. It covers a two-lap 13.1-mile (21.1km) traffic-free course straddling both sides of the River Avon, with a route that ensures crowd support and excellent opportunities for spectators to watch the runners at a number of locations around the course. The annual Spring exhibition of Taunton Art Group (TAG) will take place at Taunton Library from Tuesday 20th March until midday Saturday 31st March 2012. On display will be a broad range of work including watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel and mixed media paintings, drawings, prints, 3 dimensional works and cards. There's sure to be something to appeal to everyone: the high standard of work is again guaranteed this year, for among our members we have many highly talented amateur artists and also several professional artists. Admission is free and the exhibition is open during normal library opening hours. (Closed Monday; 9am - 5pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 9am - 6pm Wednesday; 9.30am - 4pm Saturday). Original work will be for sale at very affordable prices. You will also have the opportunity during the exhibition to vote for your favourite work of art.

The Royal Navy’s premier airshow will take place on Saturday 23rd June 2012 at RNAS Yeovilton with an extensive flying and static display. The Air Station is notably home to the Lynx Helicopter Force, Commando Helicopter Force and the Royal Navy Historic Flight with its rare collection of naval aircraft. The air show will be commemorating 30 years of the Falklands Campaign. Throughout the day, families will also have the chance to enjoy plenty of entertainment on the ground including the Fleet Air Arm Museum, interactive military displays, classic and military vehicle exhibitions, funfair, simulators, helicopter pleasure flights, trade stalls and much more. 08445 780780
